SEPCHE Faculty and Staff Professional Development: Transformative Learning for Effective Transition Management
On May 11, 2011 approximately 170 faculty and staff from the consortium’s eight institutions gathered at the ACE Conference Center in Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania to learn about the changing landscape for college graduates, the skills needed for effective transition management and the connection to meta-cognitive teaching approaches which foster greater self awareness, goal setting, planning and adjustment with respect to holistic career development.
AAC&U President Carol Geary Schneider gave the Keynote Presentation “Only Connect: Liberal Education, High Impact Practices and 21st Century Careers.” Click here for her presentation.
Phil Hopkins, Vice President and Director of Research at Select Greater Philadelphia, provided a regional economic forecast in his presentation “Future Jobs in the Region and the Skill Requirements for the Changing Economy.” Click here for his presentation.
