From Seed to Table: Integrating Middle School Math and Science through Food
Learn
how the process of food growth and development from seed to plant to table
can provide a fresh approach to teaching your students biology, chemistry
and mathematics. This one day workshop for middle school teachers provides
activities and lessons designed to span an entire unit. Participants engage
in demonstrations and experiments that can be replicated in any middle school
classroom using food products on even the most minimal budgets. Take-home
kits will be provided to all participants to facilitate implementation in
the classroom.
