SEPCHE Information Literacy Tutorial (SILT)

In fall 2003, SEPCHE member libraries and faculty will begin using SILT, the SEPCHE Information Literacy Tutorial, in their instruction. The SEPCHE adaptation was designed by the SILT Task Force. The Task Force also designed a pre-test that is a unique aspect of SILT.

As part of the collaborative implementation of SILT, the eight SEPCHE library directors developed Information Literacy Learning Outcomes for Freshman/First Year Students.

SILT is an adaptation of TILT, the Texas Information Literacy Tutorial developed by the University of Texas in the mid-1990’s.
