The Southeastern Pennsylvania Consortium for Higher Education (SEPCHE), recognizing the critical need for teachers to keep technological and pedagogical skills up to date, is is pleased to provide graduate level summer courses for teachers of mathematics and science.
In this fifth SEPCHE Summer Institute for Mathematics and Science the courses offered  present new and important skills and pedagogies that address Pennsylvania standards for science, technology and mathematics. State of the art instructional technology are integral to all of the courses.

Providing professional development for new and experienced teachers to help them build and maintain excellence in teaching has been an important priority of SEPCHE for the past fifteen years.

As the federal No Child Left Behind Act and rigorous standards developed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania have changed the face of teaching across the country and the State, teacher quality has become more important than ever.
The courses scheduled for Summer 2009  offer opportunities to:

  • Become acquainted with the most up to date instructional technology
  • Explore software and hardware that can be used in the classroom
  • Develop resources to advance student achievement
